Selene is a Greek goddess that is the personification of the moon. The Crescent on her head is reminiscent of Bull horns on her head. Now you know why Moon is exalted by the Taurus! She is also driven by oxen, bulls, or horses on a what is called a Moon Chariot. This is why in Tarot you see Cancer energy being represented by The Chariot as well. Selene is a derivative of selas (σέλας) which is “light” and Phoebus which is “light” as well. This is why she is considered the lighter counterpart of the Black Moon, which is Lilith!

The White Moon Selene is where you find your more nurturing/giving qualities. Selene had many lovers as well, so this can help you in your relationships if you struggle with vulnerability and being encompassed with a lover. This can even be for platonic relationships where you are helpful and protective over those you love.

More Selene Info

She also was in a secret relationship with Pan, which is remnescent of Pan being Capricorn energy, and the opposition to Cancer, which is the Moon. There is a relationship energy that comes from oppositions in astrology. She also helped birth Aphrodite along with Helios. Aphrodite is Venusian in nature, and ofc Selene is Lunar. This creates a natural sextile between Taurus and Cancer. The sextile is an active energy that comes from what you already inherently know how to create. Helios is the Sun in Greek mythology, which is Leo energy. Leo naturally sextiles Libra energy, which is also Venusian.

Selene is also associated with the Moirai, which are the three divisions of Selene:

The 13th= Crescent Moon

The 15th= Full Moon

The 1st= Dark Moon/New Moon

These represent the three divisions of lunar phases with the New Moon being the first phase, the Full Moon coming about 15 days after the New Moon, and the 13th day, though confusing, is a Gibbous Moon where the crescent part is dark.
